Markin Hall is the first higher education building in Minnesota to earn LEED Platinum Certification - the highest level under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED program.

Exterior Finish: Champagne Anodized

Interior Wood: Solid Pine FSC Certified - The wood has custom matched stain. The applied factory finish was an environmentally safe wood finish that was HAPS free and low VOC.

Glass: 1 3/8” triple pane Cardinal LoE-366 l Glass on 2 and 5 surfaces. Laminated glass was also used where extra building security is needed.
